BLAST FROM THE PAST: Frank Viola

Frank Viola was the 26th color comment NESN has used this season. You remember him. He pitched for the Red Sox from 1992 – 1994.

Not only did it sound strange hearing a man with a New York accent in the NESN booth, but he hasn’t changed his style in decades.

He still has the 80s “white man afro” and he still has the 80s mustache.
