David Ortiz finished the 2009 season with 28 home runs and 99 rbi. That is actually an INCREASE from last season when he had 23 home runs and 89 rbi.
Remember the first month of this season? Did ANYONE think he was going to have a better season this year than last year?

Ortiz had another monster season this year despite the loss of Manny Ramirez in the lineup and despite the fact that he was outed as a known steroid user. And theres something to be said for that.
