The bottom line is that Peyton Manning could have pulled a “Brett Favre.”
Last Sunday, Brett Favre basically told his head coach that he wasn’t coming out of the game.
When I saw Payton Manning come out of the game yesterday, my first thought was that Colts head coach Jim Caldwell was crushing any moral and any momentum that his team had.
But Im putting this decision (and this loss) on Peyton Manning. Peyton Manning is gutless.
Manning could have gone the Brett Favre route and told his head coach no.
He could have been a leader (and showed some balls) and stood up to a head coach who made a bizarre decision that had no potential positive implications and endless negative implications. But he didnt.
Peyton Manning is the reason why the Colts season essentially ended on Sunday. A team doesnt come back from a loss so devastating, from a decision so morally crushing, and win a Super Bowl. It just doesnt happen.
This is the kind of decision that causes turmoil in the locker room, disarray in the front office and begins a downward spiral that doesnt stop quickly.
And I'll tell you another thing. The Patriots chances of winning the Super Bowl this year just got a lot better (thank you Peyton).

I actually love this article, it spells out how much of a man, or lack there of, Manning really is. Just what the Pats ordered...
ReplyDeleteThe Manning pic is my new desktop background. The only thing missing yesterday was a Manning locker room tantrum, complete with broken hand from punching a locker, a season ending injury.
ReplyDeleteI would also love to hear the recording of the tearful call he made to Dungy on the way home.
This has to be the most retarded analysis ever
ReplyDeleteStop playing in the fantasy league and watch the game and learn something. I'm guessing you go for some team that Manning continuously tears to shreds. If you are faggy New Englanders get a life your QB was only good when he had a great D, he has Randy Moss now and does what? Chokers! back in the season 35-34, when u had to call a timeout after u took the field you could see that arrogant smug Belichick shaking in his boots. Be a hater all you want but Manning is the better QB, you guys loss to the Ravens so i wouldn't say much
MANNING SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
