All of you people in Red Sox Nation waiting for the Red Sox to acquire Adrian Gonzalez, Roy Halladay or Miguel Cabrera keep dreaming because it seems Theo Epstein prefers blemished goods and mediocrity to premier talent.
Theo Epstein yesterday continued to shop in the “damaged goods” section of Stop & Shop when the Red Sox acquired pitcher Boof Bonser from the Twins for a player to be named later or cash.
Boof Bonser missed the entire 2009 season after undergoing labrum surgery in February.
The bright side is that Red Sox Nation now has another great debate on the table. Who had the coolest name in Red Sox history? Coco Crisp or Boof Bonser.
