Nasa Confirms Chile Earthquake Moved Earth's Axis And Shortened Days on Earth...Not Much Time For Sox To Win Another World Series

The movie 2012 is starting to look a lot more like a documentary than a summer action flick.

According to Yahoo.com,

The massive 8.8 earthquake that struck Chile may have changed the entire Earth's rotation and shortened the length of days on our planet, a NASA scientist said Monday. It [the earthquake in Chile] also moved Earth's figure axis by about 3 inches.

Um...why isn’t this breaking news on CNN or Fox?  Maybe they don’t want to give a free plug for the movie 2012.

Anyway, so the end of the world will happen on either December 21st or 22nd 2012.

Do the Red Sox have enough time to win one more World Series?

Lord knows Mike Cameron, Adrian Beltre and Marco Scutaro wont lead the Sox to the promised land this year.

Fast forward to 2011.  Lets assume Jed Lowrie is playing SS, Ryan Westmoreland is finally playing center field, Paplebon is gone and Bard is the closer.

Well, the Sox will be a step closer but I dont see them being legitimate World Series contenders in 2011.

Fast forward to 2012.  Theo knows that the world is going to end in December of that year, but is still so attached to his prospects that he wont deal them for a big bat.

He tells Red Sox Nation that no team will give him real value for his prospects...and decides to take his chances with them.  The Sox dont win the World Series in 2012 either.

The day after the 2012 season ends, Red Sox Nation demands that Theo get fired, even though there wont be a next season.  They want a real GM to step in and start wheeling and dealing.  They want someone who isnt trigger shy like Theo....even if there wont be a 2013 season.

Then the sun sets on December 21, 2012 and all those people who said "The Sox won in 2004, now I can die in peace" will actually die pissed off.

The end.
