Remember, EA Sports did a computer simulation of the Stanley Cup Finals before the series began and had Vancouver beating the Bruins in 7 games.
They had the Canucks going up 2-0 in the series. Then the Bruins coming back to even the series 2-2. Then the Canucks winning game 5, the Bruins winning game 6 and the Canucks winning game 7.
The simulator did pick 13 of this year’s 14 finished playoff series correctly but Im calling bullshit on the Bruins Canucks series.
The computer doesn’t factor in the intangibles—like Horton getting knocked out of the series and inspiring the Bruins to play like world beaters—so Im taking their prediction with a grain of salt.
