Tampon Bay Rays pitcher Joel Peralta was ejected in the eighth inning of Tuesdays game against the Nationals for having pine tar on his glove. The dude got caught red handed. He is a cheater and a fraud....right?
Well not according to Tampon Bay Rays manager Joe Maddon. After the game, Maddon said:
"It's kind of a common practice that people have done this for years. To point one guy out because he had pitched there, where there's probably some common knowledge based on that, I thought it was a real cowardly."Maddon then took to twitter to make himself sound like an idiot. Maddon tweeted:
"My biggest concern for tonight is Joel Peralta. He's going to get vilified and he doesn't deserve that. It isn't right. Ask the players."Joe Maddon is using twisted logic to defend Joel Peralta. The dude needs to shut up and let Peralta take this one up the ass. His pitcher got caught cheating. Maddon has to show some balls and admit that what he did was shameful (and kinda bush league) then move on.
To try and justified his cheating by implying that others do it or that ratting him out is dirty is friggin embarrassing. What a kick in the balls to the Tampon Bay Rays organization. Not that Im not enjoying every second of this shit show.
