Kevin Youkilis had the game winning hit in the bottom of the 10th inning yesterday for the White Sox. Meanwhile his heir apparent at third base, wonderboy Will Middlebrooks, has sat out the last few games with a strained hamstring. Dont get me wrong, Im happy for Youk, but this is friggin ridiculous.
It seems as though anything that could go wrong, has gone wrong this season for the Red Sox. They traded away Kevin Youkilis and gave Will Middlebrooks the job at third base and he shits the bed (and eventually pulls his hamstring). They dont have a closer and their attempt to turn Daniel Bard back into the closer has failed. They have three millionaire pitchers who simply dont give a shit about winning anymore. And it seems as though their offense has a severe case of limp dick.
And people wondered why we believed in curses before 2004.
