So the Red Sox are now 1-0 since the All Star break after beating the Tampon Bay Rays 3-1 Friday night.
Franklin Morales was pissa. The dude (who is only making $850,000 this season) allowed no runs and only two hits over five innings...once again making Lester, Beckett and Buchholz look like a bunch of dickheads.
The bullpen was flawless and Pedro Ciriaco went 3-3 with 2 RBI and a stolen base. Believe me, when Pedroia comes back there will be a spot on the roster for this guy. He is a gamer. He is a dirt dog. Sure, he as a neck like Chris Bosh, but reasonable baseball fans can look past that.
Anyway, they say a team is only as good as their starting pitcher and Morales was wicked pissa tonight. Buchholz pitches Saturday night and lets hope some of this good mojo rubs off on him and he doesnt come out and suck. Lets keep it rolling, boys.
