Its time to give Jon Lester the Daniel Bard treatment and bury him in the minors. Either that or trade him to the Braves for an autographed Chipper Jones baseball. The dude has to go. He and Beckett are a liability to this team.
They both show up to the ballpark unprepared, unmotivated and dont seem to give two shits about this season. Eleven runs? Are you friggin kidding me?
The Red Sox had lost two in a row to the Blue Jays and they needed someone to come in and stop the skid. Instead, Jon Lester shows up and throws a stinka of epic proportions.
I know Im going to sound like a prick for saying this, but it has to be said: someone has to take away this dudes drinking privileges and video games. I mean, its not his mechanics. The dude just doesnt give a shit anymore.
Maybe this will be rock bottom for him. Maybe he will change. And maybe Ill win the Mega Millions. Yea, right.
I feel bad for the poor bastids who paid money to see that game. These two douchebags are a disgrace and this team is not going to the post season with them pitching every five days. Its just not going to happen. Beckett and Lester starts are going to be automatic losses from here on out and they are going to be momentum killers.
Barring a Nomar Garciaparra type trade at the deadline, this season is in the shitter. Maybe next year, folks.
