We've been waiting all season for this. We've been waiting and we finally got it. The Red Sox are finally hot. Cody Ross is in friggin beast mode and the pitching (other than Beckett and Lester) has been friggin lights out since the All Star Break.
Clay Buchholz was unreal. Eight innings pitched, only one run allowed, one walk and six strikeouts.
Sure Jose Quintana was good, but he was mostly the beneficiary of a Red Sox offense that had a severe case of limp dick. I mean, the dude didnt have dominating stuff. The Red Sox offense was just a wet noodle all night.
But back to the Red Sox. This is the kind of win that a team can feed off. It can build momentum. Sure, they say a baseball team is only as good as its starting pitcher, but I have a feeling the Red Sox are going to find a way to win despite the two shitheads, Lester and Beckett.
I havent felt this way about the Red Sox in a long time. They won a game that they had no business winning. And they are now 5-2 since the All Star break. FUCK YEA!
