Its not sad that Jon Lester is still in the rotation. Whats sad is that him remaining in the rotation is a headline. My, how the mighty have fallen.
Now I completely understand why pitchers do steroids. This dude has fallen so far off the planet that people are questioning why he is still a major league pitcher. Ouch.
Im telling you, if he shits the bed in New York on Saturday the front office is going to bury him in the farm system just like Daniel Bard and we will never hear from him again. Or he will get a phantom injury and dissapear like John Lackey and Dice K.
His next start is going to define his career. If Im Jon Lester, I say fuck it and call Roger Clemens to find out where to get the good stuff. Its time.
