So a few months ago, Will Middlebrooks made a couple of errors in one inning and as he walked back to the dugout, Bobby Valentine said sarcastically to him, "nice inning, kid." The media only recently found out about the "nice inning, kid" comment and is using it as an opportunity to absolutely pounce on Bobby V.
Curt Schilling is the latest prick to weigh in. Schilling, who has a lifelong bromance going with Terry Francona, was on WEEI this morning and weighed in on the "nice inning, kid" incident.
From WEEI.com:
"As a player, that's a swing. I'm taking a swing at that comment," Schilling said. I never came off the field after giving up five runs and had a manager say, 'wow, that's a nice inning." I never heard anybody approach it like that. ... I would've swung."
Curt Schilling is one of the biggest douchebags on Gods green Earth. He stole money from the people of Rhode Island and stuck his nose up to the people who demanded answers.
He wont go on record and explain why he took government money and ran his business to the ground, yet he's willing to go on record and say that he wants to take a swing at the manager of the Boston Red Sox. Fuck this guy.
It blows my mind why a radio station would even have him on. He is not a baseball guy anymore. He is a failed businessman and a wanna be politician. He's become a friggin joke yet WEEI pays him to spew bullshit like this. Unbelievable.
They probably think he's good for ratings. In reality all he is doing is making people laugh at WEEI and their pathetic attempt to get ratings through sensationalism. Its so sad.
