Games like these make me think there really are Baseball Gods. Josh Beckett "injuries" himself just before he is about to go through his typical meltdown then the game is cancelled with the Red Sox up 3 runs and the bases loaded.
We should be thanking the umpires for this win, really. It takes balls to call the grounds crew onto the field when a team is down 3 runs and has the bases loaded. It takes even more balls to cancel the game all together. This win was a friggin gift....and Im fine with that.
And the Red Sox STILL have not lost a game since Terry Francona visited the clubhouse on Saturday in New York. Im not a superstitious man, but this is getting to be ridiculous.
The Red Sox have now won 4 games in a row and have actually gotten a little luck along the way. Remember, Curtis Granderson misplayed a fly ball in New York and now this rain shortened game. The stars are aligning. This could get interesting.
