Red Sox Narrowly Avoid Getting Swept By Twins. How About A Nice Golf Clap
Wow, the bullpen nearly pissed this one away too. This time it was Vincente Padilla. The dude came in to a 6-1 game in the ninth and allowed a home run, a walk and then another home run. He was relieved by Alfredo Aceves and, just like a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then, Aceves closed the door with a clean ninth.
Sure, Franklin Morales pitched a great game only allowing 3 hits and 1 run in six innings. Adrian Gonzalez had a home run and 3 rbi. Hell, even Carl Crawford had a good day, getting 3 hits and an rbi. But they still lost 3 out of 4 to the Minnesota Friggin Twins.
The Red Sox are now 54-55 on the season.
