Red Sox Play The Role Of Ball Busters, Yankees Now Tied With Orioles For First Place

I thought I was going to forget the Red Sox existed once the Patriots season began, and then this happens. The Red Sox played the roll of wicked ball busters last night and knocked the Yankees out of sole possession of first place in the AL East thanks to a walk off hit by Jacoby Ellsbury and the fact that the Orioles beat the Tampon Bay Rays 9-2.  This spoiler shit is actually kinda fun.

Jacoby Ellsbury, on his 29th birthday, went 4 for 5 with a double and two RBIs including the walk off hit and the game winning RBI.  What a nice birthday bitch slap.

Jon Lester was mediocre.  He gave up 5 hits, 3 runs, walked 7 and struck out 5 in 5.1 innings.  He passed Bruce Hurst on the Red Sox all time strike outs by a left hander list, so for that he deserves a nice golf clap.

The Red Sox are a lost cause at this point, but damn it does feel good to bust the Yankees balls and hopefully shit on their playoff hopes.
