REPORT: John Henry Looking To Sell Red Sox, Will Keep Liverpool.

From Fox Business:
The owners of the Boston Red Sox are mulling a potential sale of the storied baseball franchise, and have even begun quietly shopping the team to potential buyers. The price tag eyed for any potential sale would be a steep one, according to people who have spoke with Red Sox management: $1.3 billion.

According to people with direct knowledge of the matter, the biggest challenge for Henry is running two expensive sports franchises.  Executives at Fenway Sports are debating whether they have the financial resources to run both teams. In fact, people close to executives inside Fenway say management has been increasingly focused not on the Red Sox, but on the future of the Liverpool team.

In fact, Henry recently wrote an open letter to Liverpool fans, vowing not to overspend on talent in the future, but stating his commitment to keeping the team.

Well, we were right.  The rubber has finally hit the road and it turns out John Henry cares more about his damn soccer team than the Boston Red Sox.

We should have seen this coming back in 2010 when he bought that soccer team.  He basically stopped giving a shit about this organization.

An owner who gave a shit wouldnt have hired a clown of a manager.  He wouldnt have thrown the same assholes on the field after that September collapse.  He wouldn't have let Terry Francona walk away with no plan in place. I could go on and on, but I will save my breathe.

The bottom line is the Red Sox are now "quietly" for sale...whatever the frig that means.  Now the question is, will anyone bite at $1.3 billion?  Or is this going to drag out and turn into just another episode of this seasons Shit Show that is the Red Sox.  Stay tuned.

ps. I dont mean to toot my own horn, but I did see this coming this back in August.
