Two Games Into The Season And The Boston Media Is Already Lusting For Josh McDaniels' Blood. Poor Bastid.
And so it begins. The Patriots have played two games. Two friggin games and the Boston media is already lusting for Josh McDaniels' blood. Sorry, Karen Guregian but prefacing your article by saying "the sample size may be small" doesnt excuse the bullshit that follows.
The Patriots looked great in their first game, with a balanced offense unlike anything we've seen since maybe the Corey Dillon days, and they looked like shit in the second. But The Cardinals game was a classic trap game that the Patriots basically didnt practice for and didnt show up for. Thats not McDaniels' fault. Yet, the main stream media has the balls to pounce on the dude.
Going forward, if this offense sputters due to the Hernandez injury and if the phasing out of Wes Welker doesnt work, the media is going to chew this dude up and spit him out worse than they did with Bobby Valentine. That is lazy journalism and it is embarrassing, just like blaming Bobby Valentine for the Red Sox sucky season is lazy journalism.
Anyway, there was some buzz in the past that Josh McDaniels was being groomed to be the heir apparent to Bill Belichick when Bill decides to walk off into the sunset. It would be a damn shame if the media runs him out of town Bobby V style. A damn shame.
(if you want to read 3,500 words of pure fecal matter, here's a link to the article)
