When Deion Branch was cut on August, 31st I think everyone was stunned and confused. We figured it meant that the new Patriots offense was going to rely heavily on the tight ends. And that wasnt necessarily a bad thing, considering Gronkowski and Hernandez are each friggin beasts.
Well, shit happens. Aaron Hernandez went down and it looks like the Patriots will be using a new, new look offense. The re-signing of Deion Branch means Hernandez probably does have a high ankle sprain, even thought Belichick wont say it publicly, and he will be out for a while. So its time for plan B.
It's worked before. Lets just cross our fingers and hope Brady and Branch havent lost any of the chemistry that made them click so well in the past. Stay tuned, folks. Sunday should be real interesting.
