Devin McCourty has been named the AFC Special Teams player of the week. I shit you not.
Sure, he ran a kickoff return 104 yards for a touchdown, but he also fumbled on a kickoff return in the fourth and it led to the Jets taking the lead, 26-23.
And Im sorry, but Bill Belichicks MILF girlfriend could have ran that kickoff return for a touchdown with the blocks he was getting. He just happened to be the dude who caught the ball. This is a classic case of a blind squirrel finding a nut.
That fumble was more indicative of the type of player McCourty is and as far as Im concerned, that was unforgivable.
After the game, he even admitted that he sucked. He told reporters, "My teammates saved my life today. A bad mistake in the fourth quarter, I just have to do a better job on holding the ball. This was just a total team win we just kept fighting."
This really makes my blood boil. This dude shouldnt even be on the team yet he's getting his balls washed by the league. So friggin wrong.
