The New England Patriots always have been dangerous and fast-paced on offense. Now, according to the New York Jets, they're better and faster -- an "Oregon Ducks tempo," according to linebacker Calvin Pace. And it's driving the Jets a little ducky as they prepare for Sunday's game in Foxborough. "It's borderline illegal because sometimes the guys aren't always set when they snap the ball," Pace said Wednesday.
You must admit, calling the Patriots hurry up offense "borderline illegal" is borderline douchey. It seems like something a caller into a sports radio show would say. Not something the guy who is going to be on the field would say.
It seems like the Jets are making excuses already. The bottom line is that the Jets are 10 point underdogs playing on the road against the top ranked offense in the league--and a team that isnt really a 3-3 team.
The Patriots offense marched down the field at will against the Broncos because of that "boderline illegal" hurry up offense. And the Jets know they have no answer. So I guess I kinda dont blame them for being proactive and trying to find excuses for the inevitable bitch slapping.
But calling it "boderline illegal"is just wrong and makes this dude look like a friggin moron.
