Like Anyone Is Really Surprised Right Now.

The poor bastid was finally put out of his misery. He must be so friggin relieved.  I cant wait for him to spill his guts...I mean an anonymous source to spill their guts to the Boston Globe about all the behind the scenes bullshit.

He just wasnt the right guy for the job.  Fans knew it.  The players knew it.  Ben Cherington knew it.  The only person who didnt know it was Larry Lucchino.  The Bobby Valentine experiment was all his doing.  That asshole ought a be ashamed of himself for putting Valentine through the ringer.

In the end, Valentine went 69-93 and finished last place in the AL East.  He managed to get almost every player on the team pissed at him and most of the coaching staff.  And the Red Sox never spent one day in first place.  He simply was the wrong man at the wrong time.

Now its time for the "Jason Varitek should be manager" campaign to begin. Stay tuned.
