"The league is apparently unwilling to meet," NHLPA special counsel Steve Fehr said in a statement. "That is unfortunate, as it is hard to make progress without talking." No talks have been scheduled, and no last-minute discussions seem to be on tap. Now it seems unlikely that a full season, which was slated to start Nov. 2, will take place.
If I were in charge of the NHLPA, Id throw my hands up and say fuck it. Id go negotiate some sort of tv deal with the KHL and urge your players to play there. Fuck the owners.
Just cancel the entire season. If they dont want to negotiate, then screw them to high hell. I mean, the owners and commissioner are oblivious to the fans, they are oblivious to the integrity of the sports. They dont care about anything except making millions on top of their millions. Just shove this whole damn mess up their ass and cancel season.
Their greed is unreal at this point. They wanted a 50/50 split yet when the NHLPA gave in, they then said they wanted player salaries rolled back too. Fuck that. Now they have the balls to tell the NHLPA to come back with yet another proposal?
They gave the owners 3 proposals last week and they were turned down in 10 friggin minutes. The owners had their chance to give a little and settle this bullshit and they didnt. They gave the players and the fans a giant middle finger and now they expect the players to give them another proposal?
They dont deserve the fans. They dont deserve our money. They can go rot in hell.
