Tigers Third Base Coach Gene Lamont Has A Hard On For The Red Sox Managerial Job For Some Reason
Tigers third base coach Gene Lamont is one win away from the World Series yet he told Scott Lauber of the Boston Herald, “If I had to pick, I’d still like to have the (Red Sox’ managerial) job.”
What the frig is wrong with this guy? Maybe the dude is a masochist and enjoys the pain. I dont know.
He wouldnt be a bad choice. Remember, he was interviewed before the 2012 season and lost out when Lucchino undercut Cherington and chose that clown Valentine.
And, in the Lauber piece in the Herald, he had the balls to say that if he'd been manager this past season, “I don’t know what the record would’ve been, but I’m positive it wouldn’t have been as chaotic.”
The dude seems like a leader...and kinda ballsy. Seems like a great candidate. And of course, the Red Sox havent even considered him this time around. Figures.
