I swear to God, Bill Belichick is keeping Devin McCourty around just to bust balls. There is no other reason. The Patriots cut tight end Alex Silvestro (who Ive never even heard of) and Sterling Moore to make room for defensive back Derrick Martin and linebacker Mike Rivera.
I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that Id rather see Devin McCourty sitting on his ass playing video games for the rest of the season than Sterling Moore. What the hell is it going to take for Belichick to cut McCourty? Well, as Bruins fans we had to sit through a season of Joe Corvo. I guess we just have to sit back and cringe for the next eight games.
And Im not even sure what the frig these moves are all about. Rivera and Martin were each with the Patriots in training camp and each cut. Im sure Belichick will give a long, detailed explanation at his next press conference. Sure he will.
