FINAL: Red Sox 5 Tampon Bay Rays 0

I dont know if its the fact that Josh Beckett isnt here anymore or the fact that John Farrell knows these pitchers from his time as Red Sox pitching coach, but Clay Buchholz is on a different planet right now.

If you live under a rock and didnt know, he no-hit the Rays through 7 innings today, eventually ending the day with a line of: 8 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 11 K.  He is now 3-0 on the season with a 0.41 ERA and, to put it bluntly, has been friggin nasty this year.

He has gone at least 7 innings in each of his starts and has only allowed 1 earned run this season.

I know people keep saying, "its early," but fuck that.  The Red Sox are now 7-4, are in first place in the AL East and basically have two aces in Buchholz and Lester.

When John Farrell finally figures out the closer situation, I have no reason to think the Red Sox wont run away with the AL East.  I mean, the Yankees suck this year, the Orioles are a middle-of-the-pack team a best and the Blue Jays season has already gone to shit.  Im not even going to mention the last place Rays.
