So a majority of this country thinks the Blackhawks will win the Stanley Cup. What the frig is wrong with people? Im going to guess that most people are basing this on the fact that the Blackhawks didn’t have a regulation loss for the first 24 games of the regular season and won the President’s Trophy this year, which is pretty ignorant.
I mean, the Bruins are 8-1 since their Game 7 comeback against the Maple Leafs. They would be 8-0 if it weren’t for the Tuukka Rask butt stumble for Christs sake. In the past two rounds, they played the best hockey of any team in the playoffs. Yet most of the country thinks the Blackhawks will win the Stanley Cup. That is just friggin disappointing.
Sure, the Bruins and Blackhawks are similar on paper. And sure, Tuukka Rask and Corey Crawford have similar numbers (Rask has a 1.75 GAA and .943 save %, Crawford a 1.74 GAA and .935 save %) but Corey Crawford played against the friggin LA Kings last round. Tuukka Rask absolutely annihilated the most prolific playoff offense since the 1980’s Oilers. So the numbers lie.
Anyway, I lost faith in mankind a long time ago, so I really shouldnt be surprised by this.
