Police plan to go back to the home of New England Patriot's tight end Aaron Hernandez today with another warrant based on evidence that "he destroyed his home security system,'' an investigator close to the case told ABC News.
The investigator, and other law enforcement sources, confirmed that the security system - which included video surveillance - was smashed intentionally.
And a cell phone used by Hernandez was handed over to investigators "in pieces'' by his attorneys, the sources said. Police also want to know why a team of house cleaners were hired on Monday to scrub Hernandez's mansion, sources told ABC News.
This guy is a real piece of work, huh? I mean, how the hell is that not obstruction of justice? Either his lawyers are giving him bad advice or he decided to take the lesser of two evils--destroy the evidence and get charged with obstruction of justice rather than turn it over and get charged with murder.
I hope this dude never puts on a Patriots uniform again. Im have confidence that once the dust settles, the Patriots will do the right thing. Even if he gets off (which, considering the criminal justice system in the country, wouldnt surprise me) this guy is a friggin loser and has to go.
Dont get me wrong, I agree that the guy is innocent until proven guilty. But turning over a broken cellphone to cops is a dick move. He could have said it was lost. He could have pulled a Ray Lewis and threw it in a dumpster.
And forget the lawyer talk for a second and forget the football stuff. I just cant wrap my mind around the fact that someone who is making the kind of money he makes and has the life he has would get himself into such a friggin mess.
This guy had the world by the balls and he fucked it up.
