FINAL: Red Sox 2 Tampon Bay Rays 0

Clay Buchholz pitched five shutout innings, allowed three hits, one walk and had six strikeouts...against the team that is allegedly "chasing" the Red Sox in the standings.  That is friggin awesome.

On the season, the dude is now 10-0 with a 1.61.  He is the first Red Sox pitcher to start a season 10-0 since Roger Clemens did it in 1986.  I hate mentioning that scumbags name, but he wasnt on steroids yet in 1986 plus I am mentioning it for historical context, so I guess Im fine with it.

Anyway, what makes this win even more sweet is the fact that the Tampon Bay Rays had David Price on the mound and the Red Sox had a guy on the mound who hasnt pitched in the majors since June.  And in the end the Red Sox made the Rays their bitch and pushed them to 8.5 games back in the AL East.

And that team just doesnt scare me. They really dont.  Good luck in that one game play in, bitches.

For the record, the Red Sox magic number is now 10.
