FYI, The Last Time The Red Sox Played The Tigers Was September 4th And This Was The Headline

And this was the Masshole Sports recap of that game:
So, in the end the Red Sox ended up taking two of three games from the mighty Detroit Tigers. I have the balls to say it: the Red Sox are the favorites to win the World Series this year.

Hell, they have the best record in the American League and just won two out of three against the team with the second best record. They are playing their balls off right now. Mike Napoli, Stephen Drew, Jacoby Ellsbury, David Ortiz (twice), Will Middlebrooks, Daniel Nava and Ryan Lavarnway all hit home runs in this latest bitch slapping. It was friggin awesome.

David Ortiz got his 2000th career hit when he doubled in the sixth inning and Will Middlebrooks hit a grand slam, one night after driving in the only two runs in a pitching duel. Im not going to lie, I experienced multiple sportsgasms last night.

Everything is clicking for the Red Sox right now--the starting pitching has been solid, the bullpen has been nearly perfect and the offense is producing (except when John Lackey pitches). They have all the components of a World Series favorite.

And if you haven’t noticed, they have won nine of their last eleven games and are 11-4 since Ryan Dempster plunked Alex Rodriguez. The Red Sox are THE elite team in the American League and anyone who disagrees with that statement deserves to be punched in the face.

The Red Sox open a four game series with the Yankees tonight and have a chance to bury those bitches from the Bronx once and for all. I really hope that whiny little bitch Joe Girardi is over all that A-Rod plunking bullshit. I really want to see the Red Sox go in there, play good baseball and put them out of their friggin misery.
