So, The Bruins Have Acquired Defenseman Andrej Meszaros From The Flyers For A 3rd Round Draft Pick. Yawn.

From TSN:
The Philadelphia Flyers have traded defenceman Andrej Meszaros to the Boston Bruins in exchange for a third-round draft pick.

In 38 games with the Flyers this season, Meszaros has scored five goals an added 12 assists.

Meszaros, 28, is currently in the final year of a six-year deal he signed prior to the 2008-09 season worth an average annual value of $4 million. He is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.

Remember, when the Bruins acquired Dennis Seidenberg nobody was really excited.  The guy has been a huge part of this defense.  So, maybe this guy will pan out.  I have no friggin idea right now.

All I know is that Andrej Meszaros has been a healthy scratch a lot this season and was once scratched for Hal Gill.  That's right.  At one point, the Flyers thought that Hal Gill was a better option than this guy.  And scares the shit out of me.   Hey, at least they didnt give up much.
